Each kind of packaging is created differently, depending on the needs of the business owner. Some types of product packaging are more expensive than others because of the materials used, the complexity of its design, freight, set-up fees, labour, storage costs, and the order volume.

Aside from the factors enumerated above, you must also consider the type of machines used by the company. Ask if they use small machines or large ones. Smaller equipment tends to have lower tooling expenses compared to large kinds of machines. Two Questions to Ask Your Potential Accountant

Hiring an accountant is not much different from hiring other employees—he or she has to be competent, has to have relevant experience, and must be willing to stay for the long term. However, the difference lies in the fact that you will be making nearly all of your business decisions based on the numbers reported by your accountant. In a way, he or she will be an advisor of sorts to you, especially when it comes to cash flow, so don’t simply settle for someone who knows tax preparation.

There are two tricky parts in interviewing an accountant candidate or any employee for that matter. The first is getting honest answers during the interview. Oftentimes, candidates will give answers that the interviewers want to hear, regardless of their truthfulness, and this is not always easy to detect or prevent.

The second challenge is finding a long-term hire. Most candidates will be eager to take the job but few are willing to stay for very long, and the reasons for leaving are endless. There are ways to ask interview questions that will increase the likelihood of you finding the right candidate.

Experience in the industry

Most interviewers will ask questions about experience near the beginning of the interview. While this is a good first gauge of a candidate’s fit, it’s also easy to invent answers. To keep this from happening, listen to their response carefully and probe into their answers. If the accountant candidate says that he or she worked for so-and-so company, do not stop at simply asking about what they did; instead, find out what they achieved in that company, and ask how they did it. When they give you an answer quickly enough, and their answer comes with enough detail like methods, KPIs, and takeaways, it’s a sign of a highly competent candidate.

Finding out if they are willing to go above and beyond

Nearly all accountants are experts in taxes, and if all you need is help with tax preparation then most candidates will pass. But those who have enough experience will be able to help you with other business matters, such as forecasting, growth plans, and risk assessment. Such a candidate will not only be extremely valuable to your business, but also a potential long-term hire, because trusting an employee with such sensitive business matters will make them feel empowered, and doing so will also help get some of the load off your back. Ask them what else they can do for your company, but also make sure that they answer honestly.

These two questions will help separate highly qualified candidates from mediocre ones. However, keep in mind that the point is to bring out their expertise during the interview and not to scare them off, so take care to not come off as too intimidating, especially with the first question.

Nowadays, however, there are accountants in central London that provide easy solutions for all your accounting needs and save you the time and energy needed … Read More

What Is Cyclosporiasis ?

Cyclosporiasis is caused when the parasite cyclospora enters the body of a person drinking contaminated water or eating food that has been washed in water that is contaminated. It causes an intestinal illness, with symptoms taking at least a week to appear in most cases and potentially lasting several months. These include stomach cramps, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, weight loss, vomiting and flu-like symptoms.

The American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are investigating how the outbreak occurred, but said in a statement that they wanted to help the public understand the risks of eating potentially contaminated food, the symptoms of a cyclospora infection and when to get medical help.

Avoiding Infection

It recommends that people wash their hands with soap and warm water before and after eating or cooking with fruits and vegetables and washing all cooking utensils used in the preparation of meat, poultry and seafood before preparing fruit and vegetables that won’t be cooked. Fruit and vegetables should be washed under running water prior to eating unless they are marked pre-washed. And all food should be stored properly, with companies using a catering fridge such as those sold by https://www.fridgefreezerdirect.co.uk/catering-equipment.

The FDA linked the current outbreak to McDonald’s salads being sold across 14 states, although people had only become ill in seven of these. Health departments in Iowa and Illinois are also investigating the outbreak in their states, which they have again linked to salads sold by McDonalds. Illinois seems particularly hard hit, with over 100 cases, the first of which was reported in mid-May and the last towards the end of June. McDonalds is working closely with both health departments and the FDA.

McDonald’s decision to stop selling salads was a voluntary one until they are able to find an alternative vendor for the lettuce they use. They are not the only company to be affected by a cyclospora outbreak: Del Monte’s fresh vegetable trays have been linked to over 200 people becoming ill in four US states. Investigators are also looking at a group of people in Texas who are sick, though they have not yet confirmed it is linked to cyclospora.… Read More
